Education
BFA interdisciplinary from Nova Scotia College of Art and Design,2014
-Exploring the aesthetic conversation through a constellation of mediums and ideas with a common theme of dealing with space.
-Making film sets in production design that were film ready environments in 3 days. This was one of the first time I had a hand in shaping such a large environment that people moved through.
-Creating temporary Installations in Advanced Sculpture Studio where I explored, observed and dissected interactions with space and our environment. From placement, tension and materials,I explored the possibility of form using our everyday objects. To different forms of engagement and interaction I Investigated what happens when we re-imagine our perception of the things around us.
-Bronze was one of the mediums which I resonated intimately with. From the history of bronze and the pedestal it occupies in the sculpture hierarchy to the endless forms you can explore with the lost wax process bronze is one of the only mediums I feel where the historical weight of the medium enhances and lends depth to the ideas, clearly articulating symbols and mapping out the constellation which Connects them with the larger historical conversation.
